Not because I was seeking

Not because I wanted

Not because of anything choice of my own

Little did I expect it

Little did I realize it

How much of an impact you would make

As you came into my life

 

We all dream of love eternal

But a dream is all it really is

To understand the true meaning

Is what its all about.

 

Anger is the emotion that

Brought you into my life

Gentle love everlasting

Will keep you close at hand

 

You from a land so far away

What can I say to have you under stand

How you make me feel

How delicate you are to me.

 

God lifted the heavens

Opened the rainbow

And guided you through the air

And landed you right here in front of me

 

We talk, we laugh, we fill a void

I dream, I miss, I yearn for more

I had no hand in the start of this union

It was all the will of God

 

Even so I find myself

Wanting to take it upon myself

To manage it and guide it, care for it

To make sure it ends true to my dreams.

 

The counting of the minutes

The waiting throughout the days

The expectation of months or even years

Is nothing, since you came into my life.
